The captain of the MLB’s New York Yankees, Aaron Judge, along with the Dominican Juan Soto, who is the newest addition to the franchise this season, have shown a great connection and boosted the offensive output of the side in a hugely significant way. The latter’s impact on the side has been such that fans of the ‘Bronx Bombers’ are overjoyed and are already anxious for him to stay beyond the current campaign.

The stats highlight the impact of this duo and we have already seen comparisons to the careers and record of two legends of the ‘Mules of Manhattan’: Lou Gehrig and Babe Ruth in that historic season of 1930.

The stat that puts Judge and Soto as Yankees all-time greats

Combined, Aaron Judge and Juan Soto have reached base 427 times safely this season, either via Hits (H), Bases for Balls (BB) or being hit by pitchers (HBP).

The last duo to record such offensive numbers were Lou Gehrig and Babe Ruth in 1930, who combined for 436 base hits (H+BB+HBP) entering the month of August.

Juan José Soto Pacheco finishes his stay with the New York Yankees at the end of the season and the fans of the Californian side are asking at every opportunity for the franchise’s management to negotiate his extension as he has been the source of the offensive upturn during the current campaign.

The Yankees, who most might call the most successful professional sports franchise in the United States, sit behind only the Orioles this season in the American league, ahead of the rest of the chasing pack. They recently beat the Blue Jays (4-3) and will go up against the Angels at Yankee Stadium on August 6.
