New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge has been chosen as the cover athlete for video game MLB The Show 2026, marking the second time that he has had that honor.

Judge was announced as the 2026 cover star on Tuesday having he previously appeared on the game in 2018. The three-time American League MVP is one of the defining players of modern baseball and a global icon of the game.

In receiving his second selection, Judge becomes only the second two-time cover star. Hall of Fame catcher Joe Mauer is the other player to have been chosen twice.

Judge has spent the entirety of his ten-year MLB career with the Yankees since being taken with the 32nd pick in the first round of the 2013 MLB draft. He made his debut in 2016 and has not looked back since, racking up seven All-Star selections and five Silver Slugger Awards.

Across his ten season in the pros Judge has maintained a record of .294/.413/.615 and smashed 368 home runs. He was recently named captain of Team USA for the 2026 World Baseball Classic.

In 2022 Judge signed a massive $360 million contract extension with the Yankees, keeping him with the team for another nine years. Now 33 years old, Judge is still waiting for the World Series ring that his talent deserves and the Yankees are looking for their first championship since 2009.
