Brewers - Orioles: confirmed lineups and starting pitchers for today’s MLB game April 13
The Brewers take on the Orioles in the latest bumper fixture in this fascinating MLB season.
If you think back, you may remember the last time these two sides played against each other. It was yesterday. On that occasion, the Brewers waltzed away with a resounding 1-11 win, with their next game, after today, coming up tomorrow. Time moves like lightning in the baseball world.
The Orioles currently hold a 7-4 record as they approach their series closer against the Red Sox on Thursday. On the other hand, Milwaukee boasts an 8-3 record following a 2-1 series victory against the Reds, with the fourth game of the series being called off due to rain.
In a twist of events that nobody would have predicted before the season, the anticipation surrounding this matchup hasn’t been this intense since the Brewers transitioned to the NL in the 1990s. Corbin Burnes will don the black and orange, while DL Hall and Joey Ortiz will sport blue and gold.
Here’s how the two sides are going into the crunch game today:

Prior to the start of the second inning, Christian Yelich, the left fielder for the Brewers, exited the game due to reported low back discomfort. Blake Perkins took over in center field, and Sal Frelick shifted to left field.
“It’s pretty frustrating,” Yelich admitted. “Kind of running and feel it grab. Hopefully I stopped before I got it bad. Usually, I’ll get it and it will grab pretty good and I’ll know that I’m done for. Hopefully this one was before that happened. I felt it right on the verge of doing it while running on Willy’s pop up on the first. Running around the bases didn’t feel very good.”
“This one doesn’t feel as bad as before, but you never really know,” Yelich said. “I’m hoping for it to be quick.”
