The Houston Astros are having a strong finish to the MLB season after an uncertain start. They are currently sitting atop the American League West with a 70-62 record, ahead of the Seattle Mariners, who hold a 67-66 record.

Heyward readied for Astros
The Texas franchise recognises that an experienced player could bring much-needed stability on the field, so they have set their sights on proven talent, Jason Heyward, who had recently been designated for assignment by the LA Dodgers.
Heyward is averaging .208 with a .289 OBP, 6 home runs, and 28 RBIs in 197 plate appearances this season. Additionally, he has won five Gold Gloves during his MLB career.
Business is business, Jason Heyward scouted the market and made a decision for his career to join the Houston Astros.

But man, we will really miss him on the Dodgers and will never forget his final moment with the squad 🥲 pic.twitter.com/eG8kBWzQNe
Although Heyward had been on the radar of the New York Yankees, the Astros secured an agreement with him first. The Yankees, meanwhile, opted to acquire Duke Ellis from the Seattle Mariners, a player who has made just six appearances in the Major League.
