How Kate Upton celebrated the Astros’ World Series victory
Following Justin Verlander’s World Series win, his wife and 3-year-old daughter helped celebrate the Houston Astros’ victory
Kate Upton and Justin Verlander’s daughter made a rather surprising public appearance following her father’s World Series win.
The Houston Astros pitcher’s wife and 3-year-old daughter, Genevieve, took the field at Minute Maid Park on Saturday, Nov. 5, following Houston’s 4-1 Game 6 win over the Philadelphia Phillies to clinch the World Series.
The presence of Genevieve, who was born in 2018, was a first as her parents usually hide her face on any and all social media posts. But according to Upton, who described the day as “an incredible experience,” this is the most his family gets to see him.
“Just to see him do what he loves, just to see him do his craft, he’s such an artist out there. When he’s pitching, it’s really so creative, such an art, and we are so honored.”

This was the Astros’ second championship trophy in history, the first being given to them in 2017 amid a cheating scandal that marred the Astros’ record that year.
As for Verlander, the Nov. 5 victory was doubly special, as he celebrated two significant moments that day: their fifth wedding anniversary, and the World Series.
