Now, it appears that interest is also directed towards the experienced pitcher, Jordan Montgomery, who recently clinched the World Series championship with the Texas Rangers.

Is Montgomery New York bound?

Montgomery played a pivotal role in securing the title for the Texas team, boasting an impressive 2.79 ERA, a 1.09 WHIP, and 58 strikeouts in 11 appearances. During the regular season, he maintained a 3.20 ERA with 166 strikeouts in 188 innings, making 32 starts split between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Rangers.

The left-handed pitcher is seeking a bumper contract for three or four seasons that would provide the desired continuity. It has been rumoured, though, that both New York teams, the Yankees and the Mets, are vying for his services.
