LA Dodgers receive invitation from Donald Trump to visit the White House
The President of the United States, congratulated the team after their World Series win and invited them to the after their White House.
The Los Angeles Dodgers are a dynasty in the making. The Californian team has won the World Series in two consecutive seasons and is poised to become one of the most dominant teams in Major League Baseball history.
Now, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, congratulated the team led by Shohei Ohtani and invited them to the White House to celebrate their championship. For the politician, winning the title at Games 6 and 7 was an epic feat. However, no date has been set for the visit.
“Congratulations to the Los Angeles Dodgers, a game won by incredible CHAMPIONS!” Trump posted on Truth Social. “A less capable group of men could never have won that game, or Game 6, for that matter. So many stars made it happen. Congratulations to the owners as well. They did a fantastic job. SEE YOU ALL AT THE WHITE HOUSE!”
The relationship between the Dodgers and the federal government has not been easy in 2025. In mid-June, the Major League Baseball team prevented Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) vehicles from entering Dodger Stadium to conduct raids. Afterward, the California-based organization pledged to donate one million dollars to immigrants.
How the Dodgers celebrated at the White House in 2024
This will be the second consecutive year that the Dodgers have visited the official residence of the President of the United States. The previous visit took place on April 7, 2025, a few days after the start of the 2025 MLB season.
During the 2024 championship celebration, only two players were absent from the White House. Venezuelan Brusdar Graterol chose to stay home, while Freddie Freeman was recovering from an ankle injury.
Clayton Kershaw, who retired after winning the Commissioner’s Trophy this season, was tasked with speaking to Trump and presenting him with a Dodgers jersey with the number 47.
