The Cincinnati Reds ended the Milwaukee Brewers’ 14-0 undefeated streak, which had set a franchise record in MLB. It happened in the third game of the series at Great American Ball Park, after the Brewers had won the first two matchups.

The man who snapped the streak was Austin Hays, who in the 10th inning delivered a bases-loaded single to third base, driving in TJ Friedl for the game-winning run in a 3–2 Reds victory.

The Brewers’ 14-game winning streak was the longest in Major League Baseball since the St. Louis Cardinals won 17 straight from September 11 to 28, 2021.

The game remained scoreless through six innings, with Reds left-hander Andrew Abbott keeping Milwaukee’s bats in check, while Brewers lefty José Quintana also held the scoreboard clean. Over those first six innings, the two pitchers combined to allow just six hits and rack up 11 strikeouts.

Graham Ashcraft (7–4) earned the win for Cincinnati, while Grant Anderson (2–4) took the loss.

It’s also worth noting the Reds’ own streak: they are the only team this season not to be swept in a series. Their run of 40 straight series without being swept is the longest in franchise history.
