The U.S. team concluded their first round with a nervous 3-2 win against Colombia, securing a 3-1 record in Pool C and placing second behind Mexico based on head-to-head results. Their upcoming opponent is a highly motivated Venezuelan team that achieved an undefeated 4-0 record, conceding just nine runs and scoring 23 on their way to the knockout stage.
