The Los Angeles Dodgers recently showed their class against the Colorado Rockies, sweeping them aside at Dodger Stadium and winning 4-0.

It was not the most enthralling game to witness, but it was one that showcased the ruthlessness of a Dodgers side that possess some of the most exciting talent in the game today.

Shohei Ohtani showed his class as usual, as did Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman, who homered in the first inning, while Gavin Stone put in another strong outing; in short, the Rockies had nothing in their arsenal to respond.

As for the Yankees, they beat the San Francisco Giants 5-7 to confirm a sweep over their opponents, with Juan Soto taking the majority of the plaudits.

The game concludes the 3-game set between the Dodgers and the Rockies, and now the Los Angeles side head into another round of fixtures, this time against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Los Angeles Dodgers first play against the New York Yankees on June 7, at 7:30pm ET. The second game in the series gets going a day later, on June 8, at 7:35pm ET, while the final game will take place on June 9 at 7:10pm ET.

The following channels will broadcast the games:

  • Game 3: June 10 | ESPN

However, not all the talk in recent days has been about the Dodgers: as well as Gerrit Cole’s return, Yankees legend Aaron Judge making history of his own. The “Bronx Bombers” captain kicked off June on a high note by hitting two home runs against the Bay lineup. The 2022 American League MVP also surpassed Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig’s record for most extra-base hits in a single month with 25.

During the same month, Judge recorded 26 extra-base hits, joining the ranks of Bronx Bombers legends: Joe DiMaggio with 31 (July 1937), Lou Gehrig with 29 (July 1930), and his own previous record of 26 (May 2024).
