When do the Yankees play the Red Sox? Dates and times for the MLB 3-game series in Boston
The Yankees are flying high in the American League East with 49 wins ahead of the three game series at Fenway Park.
Los Angeles Lakers vs Boston Celtics, Boca Juniors vs River Plate, Packers vs Bears and in the world of MLB, any meeting between the NY Yankees and Boston Red Sox is on par with any of the great sporting rivalries across the world.
The Yankees are the form team in baseball at the moment and are 30-9 since 1 May before their game against Kansas City on 13 June and scoring early runs has been at the heart of their success.
“Anytime you score runs, however you do it early, I think it does give a little shot of energy and help be one of the factors that helps set the tone for a game,” manager Aaron Boone said ahead of Wednesday’s test against the Royals which saw the side from the Big Apple run out 11-5 winners.
Boston are 34-34 for the season to date and would love nothing more than getting the upper hand on their arch rivals from New York.
The city is on a high currently due to the Celtics’ impressive run towards an 18th NBA Championship and the Sox have confirmed a slight change to the start of Friday’s game at Fenway Park with the first pitch now set for 6:30 pm rather than the previously announced 7:10 pm (ET) as a courtesy for fans anxious to tune into the basketball action with Game 4 set to start at 8:30 pm in Dallas.
