The New York Yankees acquired Jazz Chisholm from the Miami Marlins just last month. The Nassau, Bahamas-born player has performed well since his arrival with the Bronx Bombers.

This season, he has hit .316/.361/.702 with seven home runs, 13 runs scored, 11 RBIs, and five stolen bases in 14 appearances.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. will be sidelined with a left ulnar collateral ligament injury that he sustained while sliding into home plate during Monday's game against the Chicago White Sox.

Manager Aaron Boone added that they are determining the severity of the injury and whether surgery would be necessary.
