The New York Yankees defeated and eliminated the Boston Red Sox in the third game of the American League Wild Card Series, winning 4-0 at Yankee Stadium. They now move on to face the Toronto Blue Jays in the American League Division Series.

Rookie right-hander Cam Schlittler was dazzling, striking out 12 across eight scoreless innings in the decisive game. He allowed just five hits, issued no walks, and threw a career-high 107 pitches.
With Schlittler’s dominant outing, the Bronx Bombers became the first team since 2022 to win a Wild Card Series after dropping Game 1.
