Chet Holmgren is going to Oklahoma City to play with Josh Giddey and Shai Gilgeoud-Alexander. It may take a little while, but that team is going to be very good in the near future. They are stacked with young talent.
Many thought Smith was going to go #1 overall to the Magic, but the Rockets won't be complaining that the Auburn star fell in their lap.
Kylian Mbappe was in attendance tonight from the Barclays Center. He showed love to the newest Houston Rocket, Jabari Smith Jr.
The NCAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Player was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the 14th pick in the draft.
How cool is this? They played together in when they were kids, when they were in high school, when they were in college, and now Evan and Isaiah will be playing on the Cavaliers together.
Fashion always comes second to basketball at the draft. But it's a close second, and I think Bennedict Mathurin can agree.
And with the final pick of the NBA Draft the Indiana Pacers select Hugo Besson from the New Zealand Breakers.
The Sophomore from Colorado showed drastic improvement in his second year in school. His production doubled to 14.6 points and 9.4 rebounds. I like that pick for the Blazers.

With the 56 pick in the Draft the Cleveland Cavaliers select Luke Travers from Perth.
With the 55th pick of the Draft, the Golden State Warriros select Gui Santos from Minas.
(Reportedly traded to Milwaukee)
Wizards take a risk?
Nzosa played in the majority of the games for Unicaja in the Spanish league, but didn't put up jaw dropping stats in his 11 minutes a game. He finished the year with 2.2 points and 1.1 rebounds.
With the 54th pick in the Draft, the Washington Wizards select Yannick Nzosa from Unicaja Malaga.
Davidson averaged over 8 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists as Alabama's starting point guard. He won't be taking Marcus Smart's job any time soon but can play back up to the Defensive POY.

With the 52nd pick in the Draft the New Orleans Pelicans select Karlo Matkovic.
With the 51st pick in the Draft the Golden State Warriors take Tyrese Martin from UConn.
(Reportedly traded to Atlanta)
Will Spagnolo stay in Europe?
Spagnolo is a Real Madrid product who got his first taste of first flight basketball with Cremona this year. He's a solid points guard, but still has some maturing to do before he is ready for the league. This might be a chance for the T'Wolves to keep him in Europe and let him develop.
With the 50th pick in the Draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves take Matteo Spagnolo from Cremona.
Proud day for the Mobley family who now have both brothers in the league. Isaiah's brother Evan was taken third overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers last year.
With the 49th pick in the draft the Cleveland Cavaliers select Isaiah Mobley from USC
Kendall Brown is a freak, and I mean that in the best sense of the word. He has extraterrestrial athletic ability, but he's not just a physical speciman. This guy can play. He does everything you need him to do on the court as this near triple double shows you.
With the 48th pick in the Draft the Minnesota Timberwolves select Kendall Brown from Baylor.
(Reportedly traded to Indiana)
At 6'6 Williams will be undersized for a forward. He spent four seasons with the Rams, and ended his college career with 14 points and 6 rebounds in his senior year.
With the 47th pick, the Memphis Grizzlies select Vince Williams Jr. out of VCU.
With the 46th pick in the Draft, the Detroit Pistons select Ismael Kamagale from Paris.
(Reportedly traded to Denver)
Not about numbers?
As a freshman Minott averaged just 6.6 points and 3.8 rebounds in the 33 games played. I must say some of these youngsters coming out, are coming out for the hell of it. Those are not spectacular numbers but it seems as though they are good enough for the Hornets.
With the 45th pick in the Draft, the Charlotte Hornets select Josh Minott from Memphis.
With the 44th pick in the Draft, the Atlanta Hawks select Ryan Rollins from Toledo.
(Reportedly traded to Golden State)
With the 43rd pick in the Draft, the Los Angles Clippers select Moussa Diabate from Michigan.

With the 42nd pick in the draft, the New York Knicks select Trevor Keels from Duke.
Liddell came on in the last half of season scoring almost 20 points and 9 rebounds for Ohio State. The Pelicans have a deep list of scorers but adding one more to the depth chart will never hurt.
The New Orleans Pelicans select E.J. Liddell out of Ohio State with 41st pick of the draft.
McGowens averaged almost 17 points and 5 rebounds for the Corn Huskers last season. He's a high energy man that, despite his size doesn't mind doing the dirty work and getting rebounds along with the not so occasional jam. He was a 40% shooter last year, but he will have to polish off his offensive game as his reliance on his speed and strength may not be as easy to depend on in the league.
With the 40th pick of the Draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves select Bryce McGowens from Nebraska.
(Reportedly traded to Charlotte)
Diop is a big physical player who has athletic ability to make an impact immediatley. Jarett Allen has the starting spot in Cleveland, but he can give some valuable minutes of the bench and might even be able to play along side Allen.

With the 38th pick, the San Antonio Spurs select Kennedy Chandler from Tennessee.
(later traded to Memphis)
Many people thought Hardy was going to go in the first round after averaging 17 points and 4.5 rebounds in the G-League.
With the 37th pick in the Draft the Sacramento Kings select Jaden Hardy from the G-Legue Ignite.
(Reportedly traded to Dallas)
With the 36th pick in the Draft, the Portland Trail Blazers select Gabriele Procida from Fortitudo Bologna.
(later traded to Detroit)
The Lakers didn't have a pick coming into today, but they bought one from the Orlando Magic within the last 24 hours, and took the former Spartan who averaged 9 points and 3 rebounds a game.
With the 35 pick in the Draft the Los Angeles Lakers select Max Christie from Michigan State.
Williams had a double double on Auburn and their two first round big men Kessler and Smith. He put himself on the map in that game, and will joing a very very very young Thunder team
With the 34th pick the OKC Thunder Jaylin Williams from Arkansas
Koloko is a shot blocking mastermind and was the Defensive POY in the Pac 12. He goes to a Raptors team who is looking to regain the tough physical mentality they had when they won it all in 2019.
WIth the 33rd pick in the Draft the Toronto Raptors select Christian Koloko from Arizona.
As a freshman Houston averaged 10 points and 4 rebounds a game. He likes to shoot the deep balls and hit a respectable 35.5%
The Orlando Magic take Caleb Houstan from Michigan with the 32nd pick in the Draft.
With the 31st pick of the NBA Draft, the Indiana Pacers select Andrew Nembhard from Gonzaga.
That wraps up the first round of action, but we aren't skipping a beat. Here we go diving in to the second round.
With the 30th pick in the Draft the Nuggets select Peyton Watson from UCLA.
Washington was the string puller for Kentucky this year. He averages 12 points and just under 4 assists a game for the Wildcats last year.
With the 29th pick in the NBA Draft, the Memphis Grizzlies select Tyty Washington from Kentucky.
(later traded to Minesotta)
Baldwin Jr. decided to play for his dad at Wisconsin-Milwaukee after coming out of highschool as a top prospect. His numbers weren't overwhelming in his one and only year in school. He had 12 points and 6 rebounds last season.
With the 28th pick the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors select Patrick Baldwin Jr.
The 6'10" Serbian has a smoother stroke and the vision that only you would expect from someone from the same country and almost the same name as MVP Nikola Jokic. Spoelstra will have him hitting in the system in South Beach in no time.
With the 27th pick in the Draft, the Miami Heat select Nikola Jovic from Mega Mozzart.
Moore had his breakout game in college against Gonzaga early in the season. He went up against Holmgren and the Zags and took them down 84-81 scoring 20 points and dishing six assists.
With the 26th pick in the Draft, the Dallas Mavericks select Wendell Moore Jr. from Duke.
(later traded to Minnesota)
Wesley's speed makes him stand out more than anything else. He uses it to sneak into passing lanes and force turnovers which usually end in spectacular arial displays. He's can spot up with his quick shot, or can take it off the dribble. If he puts on a little more muscle he could be a very tough guy to defend.
With the 25th pick in the Draft the San Antonio Spurs select Blake Wesley from Notre Dame.
Quick update out of Philly
The Sixers traded the No. 23 overall pick David Roddy and veteran forward Danny Green to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for DeAnthony Melton
With the 24th pick in the Draft, the Milwaukee Bucks select Marjon Beauchamp.
Roddy has a big, thick frame but don't let that fool you. His first step is lightening quick, and he is explosive around the bucket. He's got a few tricks up his sleeve including a sick step back and a spin move in the lane that will leave defenders woozie.
With the 23rd pick, the Philadelphia 76ers select David Roddy from Colorado State.
(Later traded to Memphis)
Kessler was the other part of the Auburn front court that wreaked so much havoc in the regular season. He and Smith formed a fiersome duo for the Tigers, and Kessler averaged 11.4 points and 8.1 rebounds. He is a defensive nuisance and can run the floor better than most bigs.
Could the Grizzlies have their next Stephen Adams?
With the 22nd pick in the Draft, the Memphis Grizzlies select Walker Kessler from Auburn.
(later traded to MIN)
The Nuggets go for a sharp shoot on the outside with Braun. They have the leagues best player for the last two years in the paint in Nikola Jokic, and having Braun on the outside will keep defenses from thinking twice before they double Jokic down low.
With the 21st pick in the draft the Denver Nuggets select Christian Braun from Kansas.
Malaki is a penetrating mastermind who can finish at the rim in the midst of the big bodies. He's a tremendous athlete that lives above the rim, but he can also pull up off the dribble. He shot 50% from the field for the Buckeyes last year and will now get to work with coach Gregg Popovich.
With the 20th pick in the Draft the San Antonio Spurs select Malaki Branham from Ohio State.
The big man from Wake brings an old school sort of style to the Timberwolves. He's a banger down low, and will kill you softly with fundamentals. He can also step out to the three point line a hurt you from deep.
With the 19th pick in the Draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves select Jake LaRavia from Wake Forest.
(later traded to Memphis)
Terry is a tall, lengthy guard that upped his stock at his Pro-day. Before his workout he was barley in the conversation to go in the top 20, and could have slipped to the second round. But the former Wildcat with a larger than life personality will take his talents to Chicago.
With the 18th pick, the Chicago Bulls select Dalen Terry from Arizona.
Eason has posterizing ability, but he can also shake a defender off the dribble. He shot 52% from the field and averaged 17 points and 6.6 rebounds and has a body that is NBA ready.
With the 17th pick, the Houston Rockets select Tari Eason from LSU.
The second straight Dukie is selected in as many picks and Griffin will fit in well down in the ATL. The Blue Devil forward was a 45% shooter from three point range for a forward, not bad at all. He was overshadowed by Banchero who could go first overall, but he is a fantastic long range trigger man.
With the 16th pick of the Draft the Atlanta Hawks select A.J. Griffin from Duke.
Williams upped his stock in the NCAA Tournament when the Dukies went all the way to the the title game, and he became a big part the Blue Devils success. He averaged 13.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.2 blocks during March Madness.
With the 15th pick of the Draft the Hornets select Mark Williams from Duke.
Agbaji is a typical three and D guy that will be a perfect compliment for Darius Garland and Jarett Allen. He showed he’s not afraid of the big moments in the Final Four, winning the Most Outstanding Player in the Tournament. He is a deadly shooter and the kind of guy who lays it all on the line on defense.
With the 14th pick in the Draft, the Cleveland Cavaliers select Ochjai Agbaji from Kansas.
The Hornets have sent Duren to the New York Knicks, and the Knicks finally have their man after trading away Dieng earlier tonight.
Duren is a long, lengthy big man that is deadly off the pick and roll and can get up for those lobs high above the rim. He will have the Garden on their feet from day 1.
With the 13th pick the Charlotte Hornets select Jalen Duren from Memphis.
(later traded to OKC)
OKC's busy night
That was OKC's third player picked up already in the draft. They still have a pick coming up later in the draft.
Williams is a paint stuffer that can drift out to the three point line and get to the rim to throw it down. He is built like a Power Forward, but can move like lightening.

Dieng a Knick for a NY minute
This just in, Dieng is headed to the Oklahoma Thunder, after a trade was made with the Knicks.

Wth the ninth pick of the Draft, the San Antonio Spurs select Jeremy Sochan.
Daniels is a lockdown defender, who was born in Australia. He played for the G-League Ignite last and was one of the best defenders in the league. He is such a good defender his offensive game gets overlooked. He's a slasher that can unsteady a defense with his shooting from downtown and can develop into an important piece for the Pelicans.
With the eighth pick of the NBA Draft, the New Orleans Pelicans select Dyson Daniels.
Sharpe, another Canadian, was the top prospect in his draft class and signed with the Univeristy of Kentucky, but never played a game at UK last year. There is a lot of hype around this youong man and watching his highlights, you understand why.
Shaedon Sharpe has been selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the 7th pick of the Draft.
Mathurin is an old school combo guard who can create his own shot, and open up space for others.
He joined the NBA Academy in Latin America from his hometown of Quebec. before signing with the Arizona Wildcats.
With the sixth pick in the Draft, the Indiana Pacers select Bennedict Mathurin.
Ivey immediate broke down in tears as soon as his name was called as he wrapped his arms around his mom who is the coach of the Notre Dame women's team.
He is an explosive player, who is one of the fastest players in the class. His shooting can use some fine tuning, but with as athletic and as exciting as he is he has the assets to buy some time until he polishes that jumper
With the fifth pick in the Draft, the Detroit Pistons select Jaden Ivey of Purdue.
Murray led the NCAA in efficienty last year. and shot 40% from downtown last year. He is a mister everything that can take on a leadership role, and comes in big at the end of the game.
With the fourth pick in the NBA Draft the Sacremento Kings pick Keegan Murray out of Iowa.
The former Auburn Tiger is a fantastic shooter, with a long body frame at 6'10" he can put his head down and get to the basket or spot up from the midrange, while shooting almost 50% from three last year. He is also a fantastic defender which makes him one of the most NBA ready player in the draft.
The Houston Rockets select Jabari Smith Jr with the third pick in the NBA Draft.
Have a look at how smooth Holmgren is with the ball in his hands. He's going to be an immediate match up nightmare for opponents.
The 7 foot Holmgren is a sharp shooter from outside, a fantastic shot blocker and can put the ball on the floor. He's a mix between Giannis and KD and watch out for this kid. Nothing but upside for Chet and the Thunder.
The Oklahoma City Thunder select Chet Holmgren with the second pick in the NBA Draft!
If you don't belive the Melo comparsion, just take a look.
The Duke Blue Devil, rocking that flashy purple suit, is headed to Orlando. The Magic are in desperate need of a scorer, and that's what they get with Banchero. He has the most complete mix of size and skill, and has been compared to Carmelo Anthony.
With the first pick of the NBA Draft, the Orlando Magic select Paolo Banchero!
The Orlando Magic are officially on the clock. We will know the top pick of the draft in less than 5 minutes.
Commisioner Adam Silver is back in action after having to miss Game 6 of the NBA Finals due to COVID. He will be the one reading the names of the draftees picked tonight.
THE NBA DRAFT IS UNDERWAY FROM BARCLAYS CENTER IN BROOKLYN, NEW YORK
Who needs what
While some teams have the luxury of coming into the draft with a stacked team, Golden State and Boston for example, others are desperate for an influx of talent. Some teams will take the best player available, while others look to fill gaps in their roster. Here is a look at what every team needs coming into the draft.
Rockets hit a brick Wall
The Houston Rockets were dealt a big blow when John Wall opted to stay in Houston this year. He hasn’t played since before this season, when he played 40 games for Houston. He fell out of favor for Stephen Silas, and sat the bench the whole 2021-22 season while making over $40 million. After agreeing to opt for this season the Rockets are due to pay him $47 million this year. His astronomical contract will make work out a deal with any team that might be interested.

Irving on his way out of Brooklyn?
The Brooklyn Nets don’t have a pick coming into the night, but with the recent news of an impasse in talks between them and Kyrie Irving. If the Nets are looking to deal him, tonight would be one of their best opportunities. There is no question that the front offices in Brooklyn will be busy deep into the night.
NBA Steals of 21st century

Legendary draft picks
While there is loads of interest in who is taken with the top five picks, there have been plenty of legends taken outside the top five and even outside the top ten. Here is a list of some of the leagues best ever players and what pick they were taken in during their respective drafts.

That doesn’t mean their draft rooms will be empty. There will be plenty of wheeling and dealing even though these five teams may not have a pick yet, they will have their eyes open for any trades that could land them with a draft pick tonight.
Teams with no pick to start the night:
Brooklyn Nets
Dallas Mavericks
Los Angeles Lakers
Phoenix Suns
Utah Jazz
Top 3 picks already done deals?
Are the first three picks already set in stone? ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski seems to think so. He’s got Auburn’s Jabari Smith going to ORL, Gonzaga’s Chet Holmgren to OKC and the former Dukie, Paolo Banchero going to Houston.
Draft order for tonight
The Orlando Magic have the first overall pick in the Draft for the first time since they selected Dwight Howard in the 2004 Draft.
