When is the 2022 NBA Draft?

The National Basketball Association’s 2022/23 draft takes place on Thursday 23 June at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, ahead of the NBA’s free agency officially beginning on 1 July. Orlando Magic have the No. 1 pick with the Thunder, Rockets and Kings following up next. The top pick for the No. 1 pick in the draft, and potential leader of a very interesting crop of young stars, is Jabari Smith Jr. Find out more on the full draft order.

How can I watch the 2022 NBA Draft?

The whole selection process can be followed on ESPN live for the first round and then on either ABC or ESPN for the second round. The official draft begins at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT although, as always, there will be hours of build up to enjoy ahead of it.

If you’re hoping to stream the action online, you’ll need to be a subscriber of DIRECTV, Sling TV, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV or fuboTV. Remember that the latter two have a handy free seven-day trial, if you’re new to them.
