Anthony Davis to Bulls rumours ignite as reports of discussions emerge
The Dallas Mavericks star is reportedly wanted by the Chicago Bulls.

The basketball world is spinning at speeds the CERN supercollider would only dream of after recent reports suggested that the Chicago Bulls have quietly opened internal discussions about acquiring Anthony Davis from the Dallas Mavericks.
The interest in Davis appears rooted in a straightforward need: the Bulls’ interior defence and rim protection have been a huge worry this season and are topics that need attacking. Sources close to the situation told CBS that Davis, a proven defensive presence and former All-Star big man, could address those shortcomings.
That said, insiders caution this remains largely exploratory. The Bulls reportedly are hesitant to sacrifice any of their young core of Josh Giddey, Matas Buzelis, and potentially Coby White, unless they are confident of competing immediately with Davis in the side.

Davis to the Bulls: fact or fiction?
On the Mavericks side, the backdrop makes 10-time All-Star’s availability a reality. Recent organisational changes and a broader rebuilding direction have stirred the trade market: moving Davis on could signal a much-needed reset and give them young assets and draft capital in return.
The rumours of the potential trade appeared to begin with a piece from Bleacher Report on November 26, with writer Zach Buckley suggesting that the move “would be both a fun narrative and maybe a better basketball story” while also pointing out that his “absences are perpetually piling up” at 32 years of age.
Multiple reports sprang up in the following hours, which had Mavs fans thinking one thing: there is no smoke without fire. ESPN’s Jamal Collier published a piece days later explaining how the Bulls have held internal discussions about potentially trading for Davis, with a source pouring cold water on the topic: “I don’t think going out and chasing X megastar is the way to proceed -- at least today,” said a source.
