Will the Bucks be eliminated if they lose Game 6 against the Pacers today?
Milwaukee are looking to advance to the next playoff run, but the absence of their key players is affecting them.
The Milwaukee Bucks finished the regular season as one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference, and many believed Doc Rivers’ men could do something big this campaign, with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard leading the team with their talent and points.
However, the Bucks suffered a big mishap when the Greek superstar got injured in April. He hasn’t played since April 9 when he strained his left calf, while Lillard was absent in games 4 and 5 after hurting his Achilles tendon last week.
The Pacers capitalized on the Bucks’ injury issues and got a 3-1 lead in the series. However, the two-time champions managed to get the win in their last game without both men, proving they can still fight to advance to the second playoff round. The Bucks are now two games away from winning the series, but a loss in Game 6 would see them out of the competition.
All eyes on Giannis and Lillard
While many gave little chance to Milwaukee in their last game against the Pacers without Antetokounmpo and Lillard, the Bucks recorded a worthy victory at Fiserv Forum in the last game and the Milwaukee fans are dreaming of a potential comeback.
Both players men are considered as doubtful ahead of Game 6, while many believe that forcing them could be even worse in the most likely case they aren’t fit.
The Bucks and the Pacers have played five times in the 2023-24 regular season, with Rick Carlisle’s side winning four of those games.
