Update:

Bogdan Bogdanović, the captain of the Serbian national team, suffered a hamstring injury during the EuroBasket game against Portugal.

The injury occurred late in the second quarter on a drive to the basket. He grabbed the back of his leg and did not return to the game in the second half.

The Basketball Federation of Serbia has stated they will provide updates on his diagnosis and recovery. Reports indicate that scans were performed, but the severity of the injury still needs to be determined by U.S. medical staff due to the NBA’s insurance policy.

He was not expected to play in the next game against Latvia. Bogdanović has a history of hamstring injuries, including some early in the 2024-25 season.

The injury may or may not not hamper the 33-year-old player on his return to NBA action with the LA Clippers but his problem will be assessed after an ultrasound detects how serious the tear is with a Grade 3 tear (the most serious type) taking anywhere from between 3-6 months to fully heal.
