MIlwaukee starters

The Bucks come into tonight with a full squad looking for their eleventh straight win. Giannis is on triple double watch against a banged up Celtics squad.

C's starters

With basically half the squad out, the Celtics dig deep into their bench, with White leading the way in a watered down battle between the top two teams in the East.

Giannia staring down another MVP

Giannis won back-to-back Most Valuable Player awards in 2019 and 2020. He looks on track being the running again this year, averaging 32.4 points, 12.3 assists and 5.4 rebounds this year. In his last seven games he has had two 50 points games, and you would’t put it past him to add another to the list.

Tatum out too

Boston hits the road with a short handed side that will see Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum out tonight. Tatum is out with a illness a non COVID related illness. The Celtics star is averaging 30.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists. Brown is out with a facial injury after taking some friendly fire from his teammate Tatum.

NBA Standings

Taking a look at the Eastern Conference standings coming into tonight, the Boston Celtics stand at the top of the table with a record of 41-16 after their four game win streak. The Bucks are in striking distance, sitting in second in the East, just 1.5 games back of the C’s, and with a win here tonight they can draw even closer to the top spot in the conference. This is the second of three regular season games after Boston beat the Bucks at TD Garden on Christmas.

Boston is in the building, but missing their stars

Derrick White stepped up in the last Celtics game as Jaylen Brown missed three of the last four games for Boston. Tonight the C’s will be without Brown and Jayson Tatum who is out as well. Even more of the scoring burden will fall on the shoulders of Derrick White who has already showed he can carry this team if need be.

The two time MVP lives for nights like these, especially at the Fiserv Forum. Giannis knows that he has to be at his best when the lights shine brightest and tonight he will be spotlighted. His numbers have been incredible all season long, but that really shouldn’t surprise us. After all he is an NBA Champ and a multiple MVP.

Boston last time out

The Celtics continued to assert their dominance over the league’s cream of the crop with a win over the Memphis Grizzlies over the weekend. The Celtics were without Jaylen Brown, and Jayson Tatum had a sub par night, scoring just 16 points. Sam Hauser stepped up in his starting role, and Derrick White led the C’s with 23 points and 10 assists in a game that went to the fourth quarter as a one possession game. White had 10 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter to lead Boston to their fourth straight win in the 119-109.

Bucks last time out

The Bucks made it 10 straight over the weekend with a 119-106 win over the LA Clippers out west. Giannis Antetokoumnpo had 35 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists in the double digit win. It was a slow start for Milwaukee, who ended the first quarter with just 22 points, but the Greek Freak and Brook Lopez turned it on in the final three quarters. Lopez had 22 points and 15 rebounds in as the Bucks shot 50 percent from the field and pulled away in the fourth quarter to wrap up their 10 straight win. They have not lost in almost a month and will put that streak on the line tonight.

We are live from Fiserv Forum

Hello everyone and welcome to Wisconsin where the Bucks return home after a three game road trip looking to extend their winning streak to 11 games. In that span they took down the top team in the West, the Denver Nuggets, and tonight they will have a chance to take down the top team in the Eastern Conference as they host the Celtics.

Celtics vs. Bucks

It’s a Valentine’s Day showdown Fiserv Forum, and the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks have been in the midst of a lovers quarrel in the last few years as opposed to living happily ever after. Two of the top teams in the Eastern Conference over the last few years will go toe-to-toe tonight from Milwaukee and AS English will be with you all night providing live coverage, stats, highlights and analysis of tonight’s spotlight match up.
