Bronny James declares himself available for the 2024 NBA Draft
Bronny James, LeBron’s eldest son, has decided to make the jump to the NBA as a pro next year.
USC Trojans guard Bronny James has declared himself available for the 2024 NBA Draft, he revealed Friday via social media; the freshman will enter the NCAA transfer portal to maintain his college eligibility.
The 19-year-old player is now set to organise interviews with different NBA franchises from where will make a draft decision. Over the past few days, there had been speculation that Bronny had decided to change colleges following the news that coach Andy Enfield was leaving the Trojans for the Southern Methodist University Mustangs.
What are Bronny James’ NCAA season numbers?
Bronny played in 25 games, starting six of them during his first season in NCAA basketball, averaging 19.4 minutes per game, with an average of 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists, as well as a 36.6% efficiency.
His debut was delayed due to a cardiac arrest during an offseason workout, but he eventually received clearance to play and made his mark on the court. The guard was hospitalised for three days and doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Mayo Clinic and Atlantic Healt/Morristown Medical Center detected a congenital defect in Bronny’s heart.
Whatever decision he ends up taking, the son of one of the greatest players of all time will certainly remain in the headlines.
