as.com

The series now moves to Dallas for Game 3 the Mavs have a steep hill to climb, now trailing by two games to none.

as.com

As amazing as he is, no one man can beat a team working together.

as.com

GSW's play in the second half was immaculate

as.com

This was a huge comeback for the Warriors, their third largest deficit overcame in their history.

Curry finished the game with 32 points, Poole with 23 and Looney with 21.

as.com

The Golden State Warriors are the highest scoring team in the playoffs. The Mavericks really had a terrible plan for the second half, attacking Looney instead of sticking with what had worked so well in the first half.

as.com

It finishes here 117-126

as.com

Without any score for the Mavs, Poole is sent to the line again. He hits.

as.com

Poole hits both and it is 115-124

as.com

This has been an outstanding performance by Doncic and Brunson but it was simply not enough to deal with the depth on the bench for Golden State.

as.com

With under a minute to go, Poole goes to the line

as.com

Nothing comes of it and Curry takes it up the other end for a three. 115-122

as.com

Doncic gets a steal. That is what the Mavs need, a few turnovers.

as.com

Curry is almost unstoppable.

as.com

Draymond now fouls out on Doncic

as.com

Talk about a game of two halves! The Warriors were down 19 and have now come back to take the driver's seat.

as.com

Dallas takes a timeout, there is under 4 minutes to go. 103-112 Golden State

as.com

The Warriors can do no wrong at the moment. Klay Thompson hits a three and it is 100-110

as.com

Curry makes a charging layup, and then Wiggins fouls Doncic at the other end.

as.com

96-102 now after Doncic hits his free throws

as.com

Draymond comes back in with six minutes on the clock. The Warriors have outscored the Mavs 34-12 with him on the bench.

as.com

He hits both of them, but the road back is still pretty steep.

as.com

Bullock draws a foul off Looney and Dallas needs these points. They are down now 92-99 and are in real trouble

as.com

Doncic gets rejected by Looney and Porter drives on the board up the other end. He gets the bucket and the foul.

as.com

Looney hits another and Dallas calls for a timeout. They are down 92-97 and need to regroup

as.com

The game ties at 90 before Porter knocks one in to keep Golden State in the lead, 90-92

as.com

Bullock hits a three for Dallas. That was a huge shot for the Mavs, to put a stop to the hemmhorage.

as.com

Poole is hot, hitting a layup and then feeding Looney for a jam.

as.com

Porter hits a baseline three to give the Warriors their first lead of the game. 85-86

as.com

The Mavericks have lead the entire game but that lead has been cut to two.

as.com

Fourth Quarter

The Warriors just won the first quarter of this game and it has suddenly become a tight matchup!

as.com

As the third quarter comes to an end Kevon Looney gets the jam off to bring it to a two point game. 85-83

as.com

The Dallas bench is standing just off the court and Curry passes toward Pinson. It is confusing because they are standing there in white shirts. It certainly wouldn't be surprising if the Mavs get hit with another fine after this game.

as.com

Both team trade misses for threes until Luka Doncic takes it to the board and makes it 83-76

as.com

The lead is now cut to five and Dallas turns it over. If Curry hits a three, the lead is just a single bucket. This comeback is unbelieveable!

as.com

The Mavs have reverted to their game plan from game one. It didn't work then, and it has cost them their lead here now. Looney is fouled now and goes to the line 81-75

as.com

He makes one to make it 79-71

as.com

Wiggins gets fouled and heads to the line.

as.com

Finney-Smith misses both shots and the Warriors come straight back and Klay Thompson gets the two! Single digit lead now.

as.com

Draymond Green gets his fifth foul and Looney comes back in for him.

as.com

Luka turns the ball over and Poole drives on the board and gets two. The lead is cut to 11 points.

as.com

Golden State get called for delay of game.

as.com

The threes keep falling for Dallas. Looney has been driving on the goal for the Warriors and making some headway, but when it comes to trading unguarded threes for hard-fought twos, Dallas will take that trade off all day long.

as.com

Third Quarter

The Mavs come out and start things off just as they left off. Doncic works it down to the paint and feeds Brunson who swishes a three.

as.com

He certainly doesn't play like he has a cold.

as.com

It's all about the threes

as.com

They need to try something!

as.com

Halftime

That is the half and between these two teams there have been 23 three-point goals in the first half. The Mavs go into the locker room, up 72-58

as.com

Now Doncic hits a three that was so far out it should have been worth more.

as.com

Curry hits another three! Five for him in the first half.

as.com

Steph Curry hits another three, that is 17 for him in the game.

as.com

Brunson hits the first free throw and misses the second. Up the other end of the court and Finney-Smith gives up his first foul.

as.com

Draymond Green picks up his third personal foul and GSW takes a timeout with 2:21 left in the second quarter. Dallas leads 66-48

as.com

Bullock hits a three for Dallas as well and the Mavs now have 16 three-point shots made tonight.

as.com

Jalen Brunson hits another three and now has 19 points in the game. What a great start by Brunson!

as.com

Draymond Green is livid. Every time the ball goes out of play, he is in the refs face. How he doesn't have a second technical is anybody's guess.

as.com

Brunson and Wiggins trade threes and the score is now 56-41 Dallas

as.com

Dallas has outscored Golden State 21-11 in the second quarter. We now are sitting at 53-36 to the Mavs

as.com

Lee fouled Bertans and it was missed by the refs. As Bertans stood up, Lee tried to step over him and both of them went to the floor. After an eternity looking at the replay, the refs awarded a double technical.

as.com

Right now, the Mavs are living rent-free in the Warriors heads. They are playing harder and smarter and the Warriors are all wrapped up with the refs.

as.com

Draymond is arguing still. He needs to be careful, he already has a technical.

as.com

Poole travels and that is now the ninth turnover by the Warriors. This is a trend that they must get a handle of if they want to stay in the game.

as.com

Golden State gives up another foul on a goaltend and Dallas converts it. 41-30 now to the Mavs

as.com

Draymond Green gets a Technical foul and is still arguing

as.com

The biggest difference is the turnovers. Golden State has 8 and Dallas only 2

as.com

Second Quarter

The two teams have a difference in their three-point percentage. Dallas is pushing into the paint and then bringing it back out, hitting their threes. Golden State is taking the same number of shots, but the ball is always outside, never making it into the paint.

as.com

The first quarter comes to a close with the Mavs leading 32-25

as.com

And now he draws one himself. He heads to the line and hits both. Doncic has now scored 18 of the Mavs 32 points.

as.com

Doncic has 14 points and now commits his first foul of the game. 28-25

as.com

Looney hits another and the lead has been cut to three! 26-23 now and Dallas take a timeout after a 13-0 run by Warriors

as.com

Dallas has stumbled and Curry is singlehandedly making them pay for it. He has hit another and GSW is on a 9-0 run!

as.com

Inacccurate pass from Looney for the fifth turnover by GSW

as.com

The Mavs have 6 threes, the Warriors have 4. Of those, 3 belong to Steph Curry.

as.com

Steph Curry hits a three from about three feet outside the line. Bangs it in, nothing but net!

as.com

Draymond Green drives on the goal and draws the foul. He hits the first but misses the second. 26-11

as.com

Another timeout and the Mavs have had a solid run at the Warriors here. They have hit five threes and look to be fairly unguarded from outside.

as.com

Bullock hits from three for Dallas and the score is 23-8

as.com

Doncic hits and now has 9 points in the game. Dallas have scored 10 unanswered.

as.com

Wiggins has missed four threes now and Doncic is not showing any sign of weakness in his defending. He has picked off a pass from Curry and stripped Draymond Green already.

as.com

Both teams seem to be aggressively going after the three-point shots. Both have missed four or five times, but it looks like Curry and Thompson have found their range, hitting one each. Now a four-point game with Mavs up 13-8

as.com

Wiggins draws the foul but misses both from the line. Dallas run up the court and miss a layup to turn over. Golden State call an early timeout and Mavs are up 8-2

as.com

First Quarter

We are underway and Doncic hits a step-back three to get the scoring underway.

as.com

Luka Doncic not well

The bookies like the Warriors. Are they right?

as.com

The two teams are now on the court warming up. We are just about fifteen minutes before tip off. The Mavs need to get a win tonight to level the series up at a win apiece. A second win by GSW will put them firmly in the driving seat.

as.com

After his buccaneering displays for the Dallas Mavericks throughout the playoffs, Luka Doncic was comparatively low-key in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals against the Warriors. Had it been any other player, it might have been considered an acceptable display - but he was far from the level we have been accustomed to seeing.

According to rumours doing the rounds, Doncic’s dip in form could be related to some kind of illness, as TNT pundit Kevin Harlan fears, “I hear he’s sick today. I guess he was up most of the night and ill. ... I’ve heard it now from two different people so I’m assuming it’s probably true,” he said.

Who do you think will come out on top?

as.com

The Mavericks will have to make some major strategic changes going into Game 2 against the Warriors on Friday. Golden State dominated Dallas to win 112-87 and managed to hold Mavs superstar Luka Doncic to just 20 points on just 6 for 18 shooting and 3 of 10 from deep.

“We knew what was going to come, we didn’t make shots,” said Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd. “Again, he [Doncic] got in the paint and created some open looks for guys who normally make them. They just didn’t go down this evening.
