Team Giannis and Team LeBron face off in NBA All-Star 2023

The weekend kicks off with the Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, February 17, followed by the Jordan Rising Stars Tournament at 9 p.m. ET.

Saturday will feature the NBA HBCU Classic which will see two powerhouses butt heads as Southern University try and topple Southwestern Athletic Conference foes Grambling State University.

This will be followed by the Skills Challenge, then the PepsiCo 3-Point Contest followed by the AT&T Slam Dunk contest.

The main event will take place on Sunday night when Team LeBron’s All-Stars will take on Team Giannis’ All-Stars at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday. For the first time ever, the team captains will draft their starters live, just before the game tips off.

Can I watch NBA All-Star 2023 live on NBA League Pass?

The answer to this question is that it depends on where you’re watching from.

US and Canada-based subscribers to League Pass, the NBA’s online platform which allows viewers to stream games live and on-demand, won’t be able to use the service to watch All-Star 2023 as it happens.

However, international subscribers will be able to tune in live using League Pass.

Blackout restrictions in the US and Canada

Viewers in the US and Canada cannot use League Pass to watch All-Star 2023 live because of blackout restrictions, which occur when local or national networks in the countries have “certain exclusive rights to televise live games and content”, the NBA says.

Subscribers can use their League Pass to listen live to the audio of blacked-out matches, which the NBA says “will be available for viewing after the game has concluded”.

Which channels are broadcasting All-Star 2023 in the US and Canada?

In the US, All-Star 2023 will be broadcast live on TNT. In Canada, the event will be on TSN.
