Doncic got to Dallas as a teenager and took them to two different Western Conference Finals, and all the way to the NBA Finals last year after making the playoffs as a five seed. Luka’s dad said he loved and respected the city and integrated himself in the community. “He respected the whole city, he helped children, and it was not a problem for him to go to hospitals and charity events. He played 100 games last season for like 40 minutes per game, constantly being doubled... I feel it’s really unfair from certain people from Dallas.”

Those statements are most probably directed at Mavs GM Nico Harrison who told reporters that he worked on this deal all alone and not even Jason Kidd knew this deal was in the works.
Luka is off to Los Angeles where he will have the chance to play with his childhood idol LeBron James and potentially take the torch in LA once the league’s all-time leading scorer retires.
