The FIBA EuroBasket 2022 group phase has concluded, and the teams move on to the round of 16 matches. NBA stars will be seeing action on the hard court.
The group phase of FIBA EuroBasket 2022 is over, and the field has narrowed to 16 teams who have made it to the knockout stages.
Spain (4-1), Belgium (3-2), Montenegro (3-2), and Turkey (3-2) were the top four teams from Group A who fought it out in Tbilisi.
Group B battled in Cologne, and Germany (4-1), Slovenia (4-1), France (3-2) and Lithuania (2-3) emerged as the winners.
Greece (5-0), Croatia (3-2), Italy (3-2), and Ukraine (3-2) played in Milan and were the top teams in Group C.
Czech Republic was the last team to advance, ending with a 2-3 record to join Serbia (5-0), Finland (3-2), and Poland (3-2) as teams who made it from Group D.
The 16 teams will play this weekend, with four games taking place on both Saturday and Sunday. The remainder of the tournament will be held from Sept. 10-18 in Berlin.

The NBA superstars are not yet scheduled to face each other. Slovenia’s Luka Doncic will go up against Belgium, which does not feature NBA players, and Giannis Antetokounmpo and Greece will face Czech Republic, another team with no NBA talent. Nikola Jokic’s Serbian team will play against Italy, which has Simone Fontecchio of the Utah Jazz in its roster.
