Fans may be shocked at Miami’s trade offer for Ja Morant: What are the Miami Heat offering?
The two-time NBA All-Star is expected to leave the Memphis Grizzlies before the February 5 trade deadline.

Is Ja Morant leaving the Memphis Grizzlies? And if he does depart, what will the Grizzlies get in return?
Morant has been a key offensive piece since being drafted No. 2 in the 2019 NBA Draft. He was crowned Rookie of the Year in 2020 and was a two-time All-Star selection in 2022 and 2023.
However in recent years Morant’s output has dropped off and a string of fitness issues have limited him to just 18 appearances in the first 39 games. Now aged 27, the Grizzlies are reportedly listening to offer for their big-name star.

What are teams offering for Ja Morant?
With three weeks to go until the league’s trade deadline on February 5, there is talk of a few potential landing spots for Morant. However the trade offers are unlikely to be transformative for Memphis.
On Monday NBA Insider Zach Lowe revealed details of a trade offer from the Miami Heat, who are one of the teams reportedly in for Morant. However Lowe poured dismissed suggestion that the Grizzlies could be set for a big package offer.
“Miami has been the hot team. I saw some fake trade where it was like [Andrew] Wiggins, [Jaime] Jaquez and two first round picks, and I was like ‘What are you smoking?’ The Miami trade is more like [Tyler] Herro and dead money and not much more than that. I think some team will trade something real for him eventually. It’s the ultimate ‘buy low’ thing.”
That will be a disappointment for Grizzlies fans, who will be hoping for a major overhaul with their team stuttering to a 17-22 record on the season. Heavy reports that there may also be interest from the Minnesota Timberwolves, Milwaukee Bucks and Brooklyn Nets; potentially pushing up the offers. For now, however, the Miami interest appears to be the most concrete.
