Giannis Antetokounmpo injury creates problem for Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks will be without their talisman for multiple games as he works his way back from a groin strain.

The Milwaukee Bucks could be without Giannis Antetokounmpo for up to two weeks after he suffered a low-grade left groin strain on Monday.
Antetokounmpo picked up the injury during a loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers and was forced to exit the game as a result. There were some signs of groin soreness from the first quarter onward but the Greek star finally headed to the locker room towards the end of the second quarter.

Speaking on Tuesday Bucks coach Doc Rivers admitted that he wasn’t sure on the exact extent of the injury but had been assured that it was not a serious one.
“I don’t know what grade it is, but I know it’s not a bad one, so that’s good news for us,” Rivers said. “But yet still, probably two weeks he’ll be out. And we’ll see. Hopefully less, but most likely in that area.”
If the injury keeps Antetokounmpo out for one-two weeks the Bucks could slip further down the standings. Milwaukee have gone 8-7 to start the 2025/26 season but find themselves on a two-game losing run.
The loss of Antetokounmpo on Monday night seemed to have a major effect on the team. So far this season he has averaged 32.6 points per game on 63% shooting. After he left the court on Monday, the Bucks shot at 38.6% in his absence.
