The Memphis Grizzlies were able to stay alive in the NBA playoffs with a convincing 134-95 win over the Golden State Warriors. Don’t fail to watch Game 6.
The Memphis Grizzlies were able to avoid being eliminated from the NBA Playoffs by dominating the Golden State Warriors in a 134-85 Game 5 victory.
The Grizzlies made full use of the depth of their roster to make up for the absence of Most Improved Player Ja Morant, who is unlikely to return during the playoffs due to a bone bruise in his right knee. Seven of the team’s players ended the game with double-digit scores. It was a standout performance for Memphis, who were able to win by such a large margin despite missing Morant, thought to be so vital to the team’s offense.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr out
The Warriors are suffering from the absence of head coach Steve Kerr who has been out due to covid-19 protocols, and he is not expected tor return for Game 6 at Chase Center. That means acting coach Mike Brown, who is set to join the Sacramento Kings as their head coach, will once again be at the helm.
The Warriors will try to recover from what shooting guard Klay Thompson described as an “awful” and “embarrassing” loss, and wrap up the semifinal round at home. Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Thompson each only had around 25 minutes of playing time in Game 5, and will need to see more action to be able to seal the series.
