NBA PLAYOFFS

How many NBA Championships have the Philadelphia 76ers won?

The Sixers, who are facing the Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals, are looking to get to the NBA Finals after sweeping the Nets in the first-round series.

The NBA playoffs have entered the second round in a series that will keep basketball fans stuck in front of their screens to follow all the action.

In the Eastern Conference, one of the matchups to watch is the Philadelphia 76ers vs the Boston Celtics clash, after they eliminated the Brooklyn Nets and the Atlanta Hawks, respectively.

Despite Boston being the favorites to progress to the Conference Finals, Philly pulled off the upset in Game 1 to win 119-115 at TD Garden.

Doc Rivers men’s triumph was more than a win, as they managed to come out on top in Boston and managed to emerge victorious without their main star, Joel Embiid, who’s injured with a sprained knee.

The Sixers are looking for a fourth Championship

The 76ers are not expected to make it to the NBA Finals, especially with Embiid dealing with an injury, but anything is possible in the playoffs, as James Harden proved on Monday.

He led the team to a hard-fought surprising win after scoring 45 points, including a crucial three-point shot that gave Philadelphia the victory.

Harden is the main hope for the Sixers fans to see their team advance while they wait for Emiid’s recovery. They are looking to win their fourth NBA Championship and lift the title for the first time in 40 years.

They last became champions in the 1982-83 season, led by Mo Cheeks, Bobby Jones, Julius Erving, and Moses Malone, sweeping the Los Angeles Lakers in the Finals.

Before that, they won the NBA Championship in the 1954-55 and the 1966-67 campaigns.

In 1955, when they were still known as the Syracuse Nationals, they beat the Fort Wayne Pistons, and in 1967 they went all the way after defeating the San Francisco Warriors with Wilt Chamberlain averaging 24.1 points, 24.2 rebounds, and 7.8 assists per game.
