Philadelphia 76ers @ Miami Heat: Game 1 preview
A Joel Embiid-less Philadelphia 76ers visit top seeds the Miami Heat in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals, as the fourth-seeded Sixers look to reach the Conference Finals for the first time since 2001.
Embiid is out indefinitely with a facial fracture and concussion suffered in Game 6 of the Sixers’ First Round series win over the Toronto Raptors on Saturday. The Cameroonian has also been struggling with a thumb injury.
Meanwhile, Miami’s Jimmy Butler says his knee “will be ready to hold up”, after the 32-year-old was forced to sit out Game 5 of the Heat’s series victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday. The hosts will be without Kyle Lowry due to a hamstring injury, however.
