Is Draymond Green playing tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers?
Draymond Green has had his troubles staying on the court this year, and tonight he is at risk of missing tonight’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Golden State Warriors have had a rough first half of the season. Injuries, aging and suspensions have all contributed to the four time champions finding themselves at the home part of the Western Conference Standings. Tonight they continue their five game east coast road swing in Philly, and they will be doing so with Draymond Green.
Wiggins likely to return
According to the Athletic, the Warriors big man has been dealing with the injury for the entirety of the road trip, and finally tonight he has found himself on the injury report. He was listed as questionable for tonight’s game against the Sixers, and was given the green light pregame. More good news for Golden State is that Andrew Wiggins is probable to start tonight after missing last game with an ankle contusion.
Golden State’s struggles
The Warriors are under .500 more than halfway through the season and if the season ended right now they would miss the playoffs and the Play-In Tournament. The Sixers have lost six of their last seven and will be without reigning MVP Joel Embiid for the at least the next month.
Green has missed his fair share of time this year. Most of those absences are due to his lengthy suspension after the league sidelined him for repeated aggressions against opponents, the last one was a hit to the head of Suns center Jusuf Nurkic. That was his second suspension of the season, but since returning for the last suspension in late January he has not missed a game.
