After the Celtics loss to the Cavaliers last night, the Milwaukee Bucks are officially the hottest team in the league. They are on a six game win streak since returning from the All-Star Break, and put their streak on the line tonight from Golden State.

Bucks on a roll

The good news for the Bucks, is that Giannis Antetokounmpo who came into the night on the injury report due to Achilles tendinitis on his left leg is set to play for Doc Rivers’ side. The Greek sat out the Bucks last game against the Clippers back in Milwaukee before setting off for a west coach swing over the next week.

Giannis and Damian Lillard finally look like they are starting to figure things out after a turbulent start to the season that saw their head coach let go and the replacement coach, Doc Rivers, era get off to a rough start heading into the break.

While Giannis and Lillard are starting to gel on the offensive end, the biggest difference for this side has gone through is a revamping on the defensive end. It might be Doc Rivers finally having the time to inject his style of play, it might be the addition of Patrick Beverley that has brought another level on energy to the Bucks, or it might be Milwaukee finally answering the challenge that Giannis gave them earlier this year.

The two time MVP has been at the forefront of the revolution, despite dealing with this nagging injury. Giannis wasn’t the only one on the injury report tonight. Khris Middleton is out with a sprained left ankle, and Jae Crowder is questionable with a knee contusion. The Golden State have no one out tonight now that Andrew Wiggins has returned from dealing with personal issues.
