Jaylen Brown makes explosive comments that raise eyebrows across the NBA
The Celtics star went in on the officiating team after the loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown flicked open the safety on his Gatling gun and squeezed the trigger. What flew across the court was not a shower of shots but an entire murmuration of sound waves that left his vocal chords, passed through the air and were picked up by the tiny receptors tucked away inside the foam heads of the microphones toward the origin of the shots - his mouth.
After a tight 100-95 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night, Brown called out the game’s officials and, both politely and hilariously, welcomed whatever fine might come his way. Brown’s remarks have sparked conversation around officiating and its influence on NBA outcomes.
The game itself was a hard-fought affair in Boston, with San Antonio edging out the Celtics thanks to a strong second half from rookie Victor Wembanyama; Boston battled well but ultimately came up short in a contest decided in the final minute.
Fine me I’m sick of this shit

“I’m tired of the inconsistency... I thought it was some bullsh*t tonight”
“I feel like, honestly, they just got away with a lot, and I’m tired of the inconsistency,” Brown, who finished with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists, said of the referees. “I’ll accept the fine at this point. I thought it was some bullsh*t tonight. I think [the Spurs are] a good defensive team, but they ain’t that damn good.
“I hope somebody can just pull up the clips, because it’s the same sh*t every time we play a good team."
Bullets finished. Reload.
“It’s like they refuse to make a call then call touch fouls on the other end.”
“That’s just extremely frustrating, bro. Like, we play hard,” he continued, bullet shells letting off their own personal clink as they hit the floor’s hard surface. “We were outplaying our expectations. We compete hard on the defensive end. Then they reward the other team with touch fouls. Then we go down there and guys are allowed to get away with ... I hope, just somebody please pull it up." By this point, the mist surrounding Brown had turned red.
Jaylen Brown sounded off on the officiating after the Celtics attempted just 4 free-throws tonight:

“I’ll take the f*cking fine... I don’t care”
“Every time we play a good team, the inconsistency is crazy. I’ll take the f*cking fine. Curtis, all them dudes was terrible tonight. I don’t care. They can fine me whatever they want. But it’s crazy. Every time we play a good team, it’s the same bullsh*t. Somebody please pull up the clips.”
Clack. Clack. Reloaded.
Check the sights. Fire.
“If we can’t get to the free throw line and teams are allowed to be physical and bump us off our spots, etc., then it’s hard to win games like that,” Brown, who went 1-for-9 from the field and committed two turnovers in a poor final quarter, continued. “We shot four free throws tonight and lost the game by four. Not to say that’s the whole game, the whole story. We got to be better in spots. I got to be better in spots. But goddamn. I’m driving to the basket. I’m physical. I don’t flop. I don’t shy away from contact. I go up strong. I’m athletic. And nothing. Zero free throws tonight. The inconsistency is f*cking crazy. Give me the fine.”
