Knicks star calls private meeting to address slump
Jalen Brunson is said to have called a players-only meeting to tackle the current run of form.

The New York Knicks are suffering a terrible run of form that has caused one player to call a meeting to address the situation, says a report from ESPN.
New York Knicks captain Jalen Brunson took the unusual step of convening a players-only meeting this week to arrest his team’s recent slide, sources told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne. The Knicks, who started the season as one of the NBA’s most promising teams, have hit a rough patch in January and Brunson decided his teammates needed to confront those issues together rather than looking to coach Mike Brown for a solution.
The meeting came in the aftermath of a home loss to the Dallas Mavericks, a defeat that marked the Knicks’ ninth loss in 11 games and a performance that Hart labelled “embarrassing”.

“I’d be booing us too, straight up”
In that contest at Madison Square Garden, New York were outplayed from the opening whistle and were behind by 30 points at halftime as frustrated fans voiced their displeasure with loud boos.
According to Brunson, a process of introspection “should have started a couple of weeks ago,” he said, “but we’ve got to start tomorrow.”
“There’s been a lot of things to pinpoint, but I mean as a team we know what we have to do‚” Brunson added. “It’s either we do it, we care enough to do it, or we don’t. I’d be booing us too, straight up... We just didn’t follow the game plan at all.”
According to sources, Brunson’s message was clear: the answers to their struggles have to come from within the locker room. His call for a discussion between players shows rising frustration within the team as January’s results have seen their offensive and defensive consistency evaporate.
