Lakers owner Jeanie Buss is engaged to Jay Mohr who has beef with LeBron James. Could there be a problem?

Though the actor is known for his comedic roles, some of his past exchanges with the Lakers’ star player weren’t funny in the least.

Though her team may not be doing so well at the moment, it would seem that things off the court are a little better for the Lakers owner and she’s got a ring to prove it.

Lakers’ Jeanie Buss gets engaged to Jay Morh

Lakers owner Jeanie Buss appears to have reason to celebrate even though it’s quite likely her team won’t be winning any titles this year. According to reports the franchise’s owner in principle is now engaged to actor/comedian Jay Mohr. Indeed, Buss was recently seen wearing what definitely looked like an engagement ring, which of course has led to questions and now confirmation that the pair are in fact set to be married. Just last year, Buss confirmed that she and Mohr were in a long-term relationship, though to be fair, rumors have been circulating about the two of them dating since 2017. Incidentally, that was the same year that Buss separated from her partner of 17 years, former Lakers coach, Phil Jackson. Buss and Jackson were also engaged.

Potential Problem: Jay Mohr and LeBron James have history

Where the couple’s past before they met is concerned, it’s worth noting that both have been married before. Buss for her part was once married to professional volleyball player Steve Timmons from 1990 to 1993. Mohr on the other hand was married to model Nicole Chamberlain and actress Nikki Cox. The actor has a son from each of those marriages. The Saturday Night Live veteran has numerous film and television credits to his name over the years, but it’s perhaps his role as a villain in “Jerry Maguire” alongside Tom Cruise, for which he will best be remembered. Incidentally, some on social media have pointed out that Mohr may in fact be not so nice in real life as well.

Many have pointed to Mohr’s past tweets, some of which were directed at Lakers star LeBron James. While some of the posts were in praise of James, others were profanity laden insults about the former MVP’s mother. Could there be the potential for friction in the future? Watch this space.
