LeBron James continues to add to his extraordinary NBA résumé. At 41 years old, the Los Angeles Lakers star remains in elite form, and during tonight’s game against the Denver Nuggets he surpassed another historic mark previously held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

“King” James now holds the record for the most field goals made in NBA history. Abdul-Jabbar finished his career in 1989 with 15,837 field goals, a figure that stood for decades. That crown now belongs to the Lakers forward, further cementing his place among the greatest players the league has ever seen. Karl Malone ranks third on the all-time list with 13,528 field goals.

It is another milestone in a career defined by longevity and consistency. James previously passed Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer on February 7, 2023, when he reached 38,388 points. Since then, he has continued to build on that total and now sits above 43,000 career points while still active.

Another record could fall very soon. James is now chasing Robert Parish’s mark of 1,611 regular-season games played. The Lakers’ No. 23 currently sits second on the all-time list with 1,606 games and could surpass Parish on March 16 against the Houston Rockets if he appears in every scheduled game before then.
