Miami Heat injury issues ahead of Game 2 vs Celtics
The Miami Heat have a 1-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Celtics, but continue to suffer injuries. Here’s their injury report ahead of Game 2.
The Miami Heat are hosting the Celtics again on Thursday night for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals. And while Boston is getting closer to having their point guard Marcus Smart playing against the Heat in Game 2, Miami is still suffering injury issues.
Point guard Kyle Lowry will miss his eighth game of the playoffs due to his ongoing hamstring issue. Gabe Vincent, who is Lowry’s replacement, is questionable with another hamstring issue. And unfortunately for Miami, so is their other starting guard Max Strus.
Game 1 vs the Celtics was a 118-107 win for Miami on Tuesday night, however Boston pointed out following the game that the total scores of the first, second and fourth quarters added up to Celtics 93, Heat 79.
That troubling third quarter, however, mattered.
Now, Miami has three players out and Boston is gaining confidence with Smart’s possibility of returning and making magic in Game 2.
