NBA confirms historic new destination for 2026 international game
The NBA will visit a brand-new country as part of its continued push to grow the league overseas.

The NBA has announced a three-year slate of games in Europe between January 2026 and 2028, with the league to travel to a new country for the very first time in its history.
First-ever NBA regular-season game set for Germany: who’s playing?
On Thursday, January 15, 2026, the NBA will debut in Germany, with Memphis Grizzlies and the Orlando Magic to face off at Uber Arena in Berlin. Three preseason games have previously taken place on German soil, although the last of those, which saw the New Orleans Hornets defeat the Washington Wizards, came in 2008.
That the Magic have been selected as one of the two participants doesn’t come as a huge surprise, as three of the seven German players currently competing in the NBA are part of Orlando’s roster: Franz Wagner, Mo Wagner and Tristan Da Silva.
After their clash in Berlin, the Grizzlies and the Magic will also go head to head three days later in London on Sunday, January 18, 2026. The O2 in the English capital last hosted a regular-season game in January 2019, when the Wizards beat the New York Knicks.
Manchester and Paris to host NBA matchups
The NBA has also announced it will play games in Manchester and Paris in 2027, and will return to Berlin and the French capital in 2028. The teams involved in those games have not been decided, with those matchups, as well as dates, to be confirmed ahead of the 2026-27 and 2027-28 NBA seasons.
Five regular-season games have been played in Paris, all since 2020, although Manchester joins Berlin in being a new venue for the league.
