For the first time ever, all four California basketball teams are in the playoffs. Want to check them out? Be prepared to shell out for the privilege.

The average gate price for Game One of the Golden State Warriors vs Sacramento Kings playoff series has set a new NBA record coming in at $821.

This is double the price of Bay Area games, and 778% higher than the average purchase price of $85 for Kings home games.

Much of this is pent-up frustration, with local Sacramento fans ending a 16-year drought by being able to finally see a home playoff game. When the series moves to the Bay Area, prices drop to $261.

Ticketmaster lists prices ranging from a “get-in” price of $531.25 for the upper level all the way to $15,000 for court side.

For fans of more humble means, several bars, restaurants, and even the Kings themselves are hosting free watch parties in town, so at least you can be with other fans as you watch the Kings in the post season.
