Even without the charitable side of the venture, it’s still a pretty cool idea, or even possible gift for the holiday season.

The famous luxury retailer, is offering the opportunity of a lifetime for NBA fans this holiday season, but it’s definitely going to cost a pretty penny if you’re interested in having it.

Nieman Marcus offers 2-on-2 game against Scottie Pippen and son

We can forgive you if you think we’re kidding, but reports have now confirmed that the 2022 Nieman Marcus Christmas catalog contains the offer of a two-on-two basketball game against former Chicago Bulls star, Scottie Pippen and his son, Scottie Pippen Jr. For the small sum of $333,333 you can have for yourself the fantasy of just about any basketball fan out there. Listed as the “ultimate sports experience,” the catalog goes on to explain that whoever purchases the experience will be allowed to bring a friend to Los Angeles for the full experience with the Hall of Famer and his son.

“Thanks to Neiman Marcus Concrete Runway and Talent Resources Sports, now it’s your turn and a friend’s turn to play against this dynamic father-and-son duo and learn a trick or two on the court,” the description in the catalog reads. Even more impressive, is that the buyer will also have the opportunity to go to a private dinner with the Pippens and if that wasn’t enough, there will be a tasting of Pippen’s bourbon, Digits. Last but not least, the buyer will receive an autographed copy of Pippen’s book, Unguarded.

What’s in it for Scottie Pippen and his son?

As you’ve probably already guessed, this is about more than just gratuitous publicity for both Pippen and the retailer. According to the listing in Neiman Marcus, Pippen will donate $278,000 to the Chi Prep Academy, a Chicago based not for profit that “promotes “promotes high standards through academics, entrepreneurship, and athletics.”

Pippen of course, was one of the greatest players in NBA history and a central part of the all-conquering Chicago Bulls of the 1990s. Alongside ‘his Airness,’ Michael Jordan, Pippen had a major hand in the six NBA titles that the Bulls won. During his career, the seven-time All-Star posted 18,940 points, 7,494 rebounds, 6,135 assists, and 2,307 steals. Where his son is concerned, Scottie Pippen Jr. signed with the Los Angeles Lakers as an undrafted free agent during the summer, following three seasons at Vandebilt. His debut came on opening night of the 2022-23 NBA season, in a loss to the Golden State Warriors.
