One of the biggest beatings in history as the Hornets stun the NBA in Utah
Charlotte make history with 150 points in Utah as Cleveland, the Clippers and San Antonio headline another night of shifting momentum across the NBA.

New NBA slate with six games in the books. We are edging closer to the stretch of marquee events, with just over a month to go until the All-Star Game and ahead of the familiar lull before the playoffs. Urgency is beginning to creep in for more and more teams. In the meantime, the league continues to deliver nights full of basketball and drama.
On this one, the Hornets reached the historic mark of 150 points as they steamrolled the Jazz in Salt Lake City, in what ranks as one of the most lopsided blowouts the NBA has ever seen. The Clippers, meanwhile, confirmed their strong form and kept piling up wins. The Cavaliers, Pacers and Bulls also came out on top. All that and more, in our roundup.
Cleveland Cavaliers 146 – 134 Minnesota Timberwolves
The Cavaliers put last Thursday’s loss on the Timberwolves’ home floor firmly behind them, taking revenge at home against the same opponent while shooting close to 60% from the field, led by Donovan Mitchell. The shooting guard finished with 28 points and eight assists, one of four Cleveland players to score at least 20. Evan Mobley added 24 points on 11-of-16 shooting, Jaylon Tyson chipped in 23 off the bench while going a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point range, Darius Garland had 22 on 10-of-13 shooting and Sam Merrill contributed 20 while hitting five of his six attempts from beyond the arc. For the visitors, Anthony Edwards scored 25 points on 10-of-24 shooting, as did Naz Reid, who came off the bench and knocked down five of his six three-point attempts. The win, however, belonged to the home team.
Indiana Pacers 123 – 99 Miami Heat
Detroit Pistons 92 – 98 Los Angeles Clippers
The Los Angeles Clippers erased a 19-point deficit to claim a road win against the Eastern Conference-leading Pistons. Kawhi Leonard (26 points), John Collins (25, including five three-pointers) and James Harden (19) led the way as the Clippers completed an impressive comeback in Detroit, securing their second straight victory and keeping the pressure on in the playoff race. They currently sit 11th at 15–23. The Pistons, without Cade Cunningham or Jalen Duren, paid the price for a disastrous fourth quarter, which they lost 30–16, going ice-cold from deep with an 0-for-6 showing from three-point range. Duncan Robinson led the hosts with 20 points.
Boston Celtics 95 – 100 San Antonio Spurs
Chicago Bulls 125 – 107 Dallas Mavericks
Utah Jazz 95 – 150 Charlotte Hornets
