Some fans are not happy about LeBron James appearing on Pat McAfee’s show: “He might flop and fall over”
NBA fans have had their say on LeBron’s latest public appearance - and they’re less than thrilled.

LeBron James, who is currently out injured, has enraged some fans after it was announced that he would be appearing on the Pat McAfee Show.
The Los Angeles Lakers star is currently out of action with a groin injury, and the news that he was set to take time away from his rehabilitation to speak on the popular NBA show was met with surprising levels of anger.
Of course, social media - especially in this day and age - is not reflective of a largely sane portion of modern society, but the furious backlash that LeBron has received just for taking time out to give his opinions, cannot go unnoticed.
ask him why he flops so much

LeBron criticised on social media during injury recovery
However, dear reader, as much as I try to convince myself that the fans’ social media voices need to be heard, the online world is increasingly becoming a cesspit of hatred and negativity: A fan commented on the post, “Don’t breathe on him. He might flop and fall over”, wrote one ‘fan’ while another said ”ask him why he flops so much.”
Another user simply asked why LeBron was appearing on the show, adding that the 4-time NBA champion, 21-time All-Star, 4-time NBA MVP, 3-time Olympic gold medallist was a “washed narcissist”.
As well as calling LeBron “woke”, presumably for endorsing Kamala Harris during her ultimately unsuccessful campaign, one user said that James “needs to stfu and dribble.” There are plenty more examples of just how pernicious a society social media, and Elon Musk’s Twitter in particular, has become.

People know that they can say whatever they feel like online and have no repercussions in the real world. Their job is to enrage, as the most outrageous comments get the most views, likes and follows. But Twitter is not the real world, and the opportunity to listen to one of the greatest basketball players of all time should be cherished, as LeBron’s 23 is not going to be on the court forever.
