Steph Curry’s reaction to Draymond ejection: how many times has he been ejected?

Warriors’ Steph Curry didn’t hide his disappointment when teammate Draymond Green was ejected yet again in the 1st quarter of their game against the Magic.

Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green is getting dangerously close to a record he doesn’t actually want to break. On Wednesday, when the Warriors played the Orlando Magic, Green was ejected less than four minutes into the game. He received two technical fouls after getting into a discussion with the referee about a call. This is Green’s fourth time to be ejected this season alone, and I think his teammate Steph Curry’s reaction says it all.

How many times has Draymond Green been ejected?

In his career, Draymond Green has now been ejected a total of 19 times in the regular season. That’s the second-most of any player in NBA history over the last 25 seasons, with only Rasheed Wallace ahead of him with 25.

This being his fourth ejection this season also makes the most times Green has been ejected in a single season. He is the first player to be ejected at least four times in a single season since Kevin Durant (five) in the 2017-18 season.

After he was ejected from Wednesday’s game, he left for the locker room without even looking back at referee Ray Acosta. While several of his teammates were upset with the quick call, coach Steve Kerr admitted that he “deserved it”.

Teammate Steph Curry simply said, “we need him, so whatever it takes for him to be on the floor and available, that’s what’s gotta happen.”

The Warriors ended up winning the game, defeating the Magic 101-93. Both Kerr and Curry voiced their pride in the rest of the team for stepping up after Green’s ejection, but Curry’s frustration was obvious. “You know how important the season is, and this part of the season,” said Curry. “And our ability to get into a rhythm and secure a plan and opportunity to give ourselves a shot. You don’t want to add self-inflicted wounds.
