Update:

The sweep was avoided – something Anthony Edwards was clear he didn’t want to add to his career records – but the Minnesota Timberwolves still have it all to do if they’re the ones that join the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals. They actually have to rewrite the record books.

And despite the remarkable comeback in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals, securing a 105-100 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, there was one moment of joy that particularly caught the attention of Mavs fans and the wider NBA community.

As it turned out though, Edwards led the Wolves charge with 29 points, supported by Karl-Anthony Towns’ sharpshooting resurgence. They held onto their lead at the end, clinching their first win of the series, with Naz Reid’s late layup sealing the deal. Game 5 now awaits on Thursday, and Minnesota fans have some hope as they eye a historic comeback.
