The biggest snubs in the 2025 All-Star: Who deserved to go and will miss it? Lamelo Ball, Trae Young...

The NBA All-Star have been selected, and it’s LeBron James and Steph Curry who are the headliners, but there are a handful of players who just missed out.

The Eastern and Western Conference All-Stars were announced on Thursday afternoon, and as has been the case for a long time, LeBron James and Steph Curry headline the star studded pool of player.

Along with the usual cast of characters of LeBron, and Steph are Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant and Jayson Tatum. There are also some first timers like Victor Wembanyama and Jaylen Williams, but there are some players that had a case to make the All-Star game but instead, are the latest to be snubbed from making an appearance on the NBA’s most festive weekend.

Domantas Sabonis, Sacramento Kings

Dude is basically a walking triple-double anytime he takes the court. He’s averaging 21 points, 14.6 rebounds and 6.5 assists and shooting almost 70% from the field, but he hasn’t been named to the All-Star Game in the last two seasons. You don’t need them my man, enjoy a few days off.

Kyrie Irving, Dallas Mavericks

With Luka Doncic on and off the bench in the first few months of the season, it’s been Kyrie Irving carrying the Mavericks, who aren’t having a great year but they are above .500 because of their star point guard. He’s averaging 24.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.9 assists as 32 years old, and will use this time to rest and try to make another dip playoff push.

Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks

The best set up man in the game, Trae Young missed out on the All-Star game despite leading the league in assists with 11.4 a night. He is also averaging 22.5 points a game, but that doesn’t seem to be enough to convince the voters that he should be in the All-Star Game.

Jarrett Allen, Cleveland Cavalieres

The Cavaliers big man is averaging a double double and is the anchor in the paint for the Eastern Conference leaders. He’s averaging 13.8 point, 10.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists but he won’t be joining his three Cavs teammates on All-Star Sunday.

LaMelo Ball, Charlotte Hornets

The fans love LaMelo, but it doesn’t seem like the media is too keen on the Hornets playmaker. He led the fan voting for guards in the Eastern Conference after averaging 28.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 7.3 assists. His numbers speak for themselves, but his highlights alone tell you this dude needs to be in All-Star Weekend. He has only played in 31 games, and that could have played a factor in him not heading to San Fran.
