Update:

Have you been suffering lately from a lack of sleep, nightmares set in Gainbridge Fieldhouse, and a crippling inability to focus on any daily task at hand that doesn’t involve Jalen Brunson? Is this you? Well, Knicks fan, I have just the solution.

While being 2-0 down in any sporting context is not ideal, it’s not over for the Knicks in the competition. In fact, it could be much better than ‘not over’; it could well be ‘very much on’.

After two frustrating games from their perspective where they failed to play at the, ahem, pace of their opponents, a final knockout blow has been on the betting slips of most punters in the 24 hours leading up to tip-off.

‘We’ve got to go and fix it’

But it’s far from over. The Knicks actually can rely on this statistic to get them over the line: their away record is indeed better than their home record this postseason.

That’s right, they’re 3-5 at home this spring and 5-1 on the road, as pointed out by NBA Correspondent Mark Stein.

Knicks wing Josh Hart put it the following way: “Obviously they do a really good job of moving the ball and forcing you into mistakes... We’re down 0-2, and now we’re going to a tough place to play, Indiana, so we’ve got to go and fix it. We can’t have blown coverages, no matter how late it is in the shot clock.”

ESPN write that “the Pacers are now -550 favorites to win the series over the Knicks as they head back to Gainbridge Fieldhouse for Game 3 and 4″ - but we know things are not quite as simple as that. “We have a long way to go and it’s only going to get tougher for us,” the Pacers’ Siakam said. He knows.
