He has officiated 1,129 regular-season games over his 19 seasons as an NBA referee and his substantial playoff experience includes 94 games. Wright made his playoff debut in the NBA Finals in 2021, when he oversaw Game 2 between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Phoenix Suns.
Before reaching the NBA, Wright officiated in the NBA G League, including the 2004 playoffs and the 2005 Finals.
At the college level, he worked games in several conferences, including the SEC, Colonial, Big South, Southern, Ohio Valley, Atlantic Sun, and Southwestern Athletic Conference. He also officiated the NCAA Division II Men’s Tournament in 2004.
