Victor Wembanyama was selected first overall by the San Antonio Spurs at the 2023 NBA Draft. The Spurs, who added the French phenom to their legacy, last had the No. 1 pick in 1997, when they chose Tim Duncan.

And while the 19-year-old continues to get quite the attention from the NBA world, one of his family members who accompanied him to New York is making a splash in the NBA and beyond.

The Wembanyama sister

Wembanyama was accompanied by his family in New York City; his sister, Eve Wembanyama, is a basketball player herself, and his brother, Oscar, is a 6-foot-7 basketball player and former handball player.

Born on December 10, 2001, Eve plays overseas in Europe. She represented France at multiple events in the 3x3 category, including the FIBA U16 Women’s European Championship and FIBA U20 Women’s European Challengers. The 6′1″ player also competed for the LDLC ASVEL Feminine club of the EuroLeague Women League in 2020.

When she is not on the court, the sister of the French basketball star dedicates her time to sharing glimpses of her life with thousands of followers on her Instagram account.
