Warriors 110 - 99 Knicks summary, stats, scores and highlights | NBA
When the Warriors needed buckets late in the game they went back to old faithful. Steph had 31 on 11/26 shooting and hit 8 threes in a stadium where he always puts on a show.
Podziemski has replaced Thompson in the starting five, but it's not necessarily because of his scoring. These were his only two points of the night, but he does so much more than put the ball in the basket. He had 2 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists but was much more impactful than his stat line would suggest.
The Warriors are one of the hottest teams in the league but that hasn't helped them climb up the standings. They are still in Play-In position and will need to continue winning games to improve their chance at an automatic playoff spot.

Meanwhile, Steph was plenty comfortable in the paint grabbing seven 1st quarter rebounds.

Knicks starters
There you have it. Jalen Brunson is in the starting five for Coach Tibs. He will be joined by Di'Vincenzo, Hart, Achiuwa and Hartenstien. Julius Randle is still out with a shoulder injury and will have to put an end to this bad run with out their star big man.
Warriors starters
It's not news anymore. Klay Thompson is starting tonight on the bench as Brandon Podziemski takes the stage in the starting five for another game. Andrew Wiggins is out so tonight for personal reasons and that means Moses Moody fills in for the swing man. It's Curry, Podziemski, Looney, Kuminga and Draymond on the floor to begin the game in New York.
Brunson "likely" to play
Jalen Brunson missed the Knicks last game against the Pelicans and was questionable tonight with a neck injury. Although the Knicks haven't said anything official all indications point to the All-Star point guard playing in a huge game against the Warriors tonight.
NBA Standings
Taking a look at the NBA standings we see these two teams in the playoff picture, but in very different positions in their respective conferences. The Knicks are in 4th place, 11.5 games back of the Celtics who have the league’s best record. They are currently 1.5 games ahead of the Heat and holding on to the final spot that guarantees home court for the first round of the playoffs. While that sounds good, looking down the standings you see that they are just two games above the Magic in 8th place, and if they drop that far they would have to get through the Play-In Tournament. Speaking of the Play-In, the Warriors are currently sitting in 10th which is the final spot in the end of year tournament. They would like to avoid the Play-In, but in order to do that they are going to have to make a run up the standings to 7th place which is currently occupied by Dallas who is three games above them.
Klay fine coming off bench
One of the stories not just of the Warriors season, but of the NBA season has been Klay Thompson adjusting to his new role on a team that he helped build into a dynasty. He has been chopped out of Steve Kerr’s starting five, but instead of getting pissy about having to start games on the bench, he has accepted the challenge and helped the Warriors turn their season around. Klay and the Warriors are 6-1 with him coming off the bench and has had games of 35, 26 and 25 in three of those games.
Donte's dawning
Last game the Knicks were without both Jaylen Brown and Julius Randle who has been out of an extended period of time with a shoulder injury. That showed just how fragile and thin this team is. The Knicks made some mid season trades trying to improve the squad for a playoff push, and a deep run into the postseason but while the new faces are still get incorporated and that showed against the Pelicans last game. Randle and Brunson are the stars, but guys Donte D’Vincenzo going to play a massive role for the rest of the season. If they can figure out a way to fit in as soon as possible that will only help the Knicks bust out of this slump in one of the most important moments of the season.
Knicks last game
New York lost their 7th game in 10 last time out as they hosted Zion Williamson and the Pelicans. The Knicks held on for the first two quarters, but shot just 37% from the field in a night that Jalen Brunson was sidelined with a neck injury. Donte DiVincenzo had a team high 23 points, but that wasn’t nearly enough to keep pace with the Pelicans who hit 18 of 34 threes and had three players score over 20 points. Trey Murphy led the way with 26 as the lead stretched to as many as 23, finishing the game with a 41 point quarter to seal the 115-92 win.
Warriors last game
Golden State began their east coast swing in the nation’s capital, and started off the road trip in style. The Wizards took an early lead after Steph Curry was shut down for the first two quarters of the game, but Klay Thompson put on his cape and led the Warriors to victory off the bench. Thompson helped the Warriors take the lead early in the second quarter and Golden State would lead the rest of the way. It was a two point game at half, but a 38-17 third quarter made the difference as Klay put up 25 and Kuminga chipped in another 20 point performance in the 123-112 win.
Live from New York, it's Thursday Night!
Hello everyone and welcome to Madison Square Garden where the Knicks are going through a bit of a rough patch dating back to early this month. They need to turn things around sooner rather than later in order to stop their slide down the conference standings in the East. While the Knicks continue to drop, the Warriors are on the rise. They have been one of the hottest teams in the league since the end of January and will look to continue their good run of form during this road trip out east.
