Warriors 109 vs 100 Mavericks summary: stats and scores | NBA Western Conference Finals
The Golden State Warriors inched closer to the NBA Finals on Sunday night when they defeated the Dallas Mavericks to take a 3-0 lead in the series. Steph Curry led the way with 31 points in the 109-100 win.
Dallas shutdown by Warriors defense
After handling their buisness in California, the Warriors headed to the Lone Star State where they thoroughly handled the Mavericks.
Luka Doncic’s 40 points weren’t enough to knock off the Warriors who just secured their 27th consecutive series with at least one road win.
Dallas who is one of the top shooting teams in the league from downtown, struggled to knock down threes, shooting just 13-45.
Golden State took advantage of another slow shooting day for the Mavs by taking a 10 point lead which stayed at that distance for most of the night, but the Warriors did have one scare.
The Mavs were within five points, late in the fouth but Jordan Poole sunk a three ball to silence the crowd. Poole had 10, but none bigger than that one, while Curry had 31. The real star of the show was Andrew Wiggins who put in a career high 27 points and 11 rebounds.
Down 3-0 Mavericks will now have to do the impossible and make history, by becoming the first team in the NBA to comeback from that deficit and win the series. Only three teams were able to draw even at 3-3, but none of those teams could close out the series.
Game 4 tip off from American Airlines Center is set for 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
Green and the rest of the Warriors played some lock down defense and really threw the Mavs off their game for most of the night. Holding Luka and the Mavs isn't easy to do, but they only gave up 100 points and kept Dallas to under 30% from the 3 points line.
Steph dropped the famous no looker. He only does that when he's feeling it and he was feeling it today. He had 31 points in the winning effor.
Draymond came up with some big buckets, but as we all know what he does is so much more than what appears on a stats sheet.
How is Curry supposed to be stopped? His ball handling gets him to the rim every time, which opens up people on the perimeter.
The Warriors are the best passing team in the league, and they proved it on Sunday night with 28 assists in Game 3.

Tonight's odds
They may be down 2-0 but the Mavs are 3 points favorties coming into tonight. The desperation factor certainly comes into consideration with that line. If the Mavs have any chance in this series, they have to win this game. I'm taking the Mavs minus the points.
Luka Doncic has been explosive on the offensive end all year long, but the playoffs are his time. He is posting 31.4 points a game to go along with his 9.4 rebounds and 6.5 assists, but his defensive abilities have been called into question.
Curry heads the Warriors Big Three
It's no secret that Stephen Curry is the conductor of the Warriors high powered train. He is averaging 26.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.5 assists this postseason. Steve Kerr has no doubts about where he stands in history.

Quotes Golden State
Kerr says the opposite of Jason Kidd. He says their offense leads to defense. "I always talk about the game; the game is connected," Kerr said. "The better you play offensively, the defense becomes a little bit easier because your defense is set. You've got some confidence; you've got a bounce to your step."
Game 3 recap
Golden State had a horrendous start to Game 2 at the Chase Center and found themselves down by as many as 19 in the first half. Steph Curry and the Warriors would battle back over the course of the final three quarters and Golden State doubled their series advantage with a 126-117 win in San Fran. Curry had 38 points, eight rebounds and five assists while Kevon Looney poured in a career high 21 points and 12 rebounds. Luka Doncic went for 42 for the Mavs, but again his massive night was not enough to fend off the Warriors.
