What games will Luka Doncic miss?
The Slovenian did not travel west with his Dallas Mavericks team-mates on Friday as he awaits the results of an MRI scan on his right heel.
The Dallas Mavericks will be without franchise centrepiece Luka Doncic for their upcoming five-game road trip with the player recovering from a heel injury. Doncic injured his right heel when he fell during Thursday’s 111-106 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. The four-time NBA All-Star was unable to return after leaving the court in the third quarter, and he did not make the journey west with his team-mates on Friday.
Doncic will miss Saturday’s encounter with the Golden State Warriors and will also be absent for the following games against the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Clippers. He will also sit out back-to-back showdowns with the Sacramento Kings along with Davis Bertans (calf).
Dallas are 0-6 without Doncic this season, although he played only four minutes of the win over the Phoenix Suns due to a sprained left ankle on 26 January.
Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd said of Doncic’s injury: “We’ll see how that turns out, then we’ll be able to give an update. No participation, nor will those two go on the trip. As we get the MRI [results], I think we’ll be able to give an update on their status.”
Dallas sit fourth in the Western Conference standings.
